Calibration
The LTL-X, LTL-XL, LTL-2000, LTL-2000S, LTL-2000SQ, QD30, RetroSign 4000, 4471, 4500, GR1 and GR3 instruments measure the reflection or retroreflection of road markings and retroreflective foils.
DELTA is accredited by DANAK and fulfils the requirements of PTB, NPL and NIST - depending on which transfer standard is used. Delta Light & Optics has the status of a national reference laboratory for testing and calibration in the fields of photometry, radiometry and colorimetry.
The LTL-X, LTL-XL, LTL-2000, LTL-2000S, LTL-2000SQ, QD30, RetroSign GR1 and GR3 instruments measure the reflection or retroreflection of road markings and retroreflective foils.
An accredited calibration certificate guarantees that the content of the certificate has been produced in accordance with the quality criteria of the DELTA quality manual which has been assessed by DANAK.
The Danish accreditation body DANAK is a member of the EA (European Cooperation for Accreditation), which guarantees international recognition of the calibration certificates produced by the testing and calibration laboratory.
Every Delta Light & Optics instrument is delivered from the factory with a calibration standard which has been verified in Delta's DANAK-accredited calibration laboratory for photometry. The origin and knowledge of the precise reflectivity of the standard are the basis for accurate and above all reproducible measurements, as the calibration standards can be traced back to PTB standards.
In the long term, it is not sufficient to check the measuring instrument using the standard included in the scope of supply, as the values of the calibration standard can also change in the course of time (e.g. due to UV radiation).
The majority of units are used by publicly appointed and sworn surveyors, experts, and test institution employees or in quality management.
In agreement with Delta Light & Optics, we offer to recalibrate the RL and Qd standards every spring at a special rate. The standards are recalibrated at Delta Light & Optics in the DANAK-accredited calibration laboratory for photometry. You will receive a certificate relating to the recalibration in the manufacturer's works on return of the standard.
