Test institute for road markings

Authorities are increasingly demanding the monitoring of new markings as well as those already in use. On 21st September 2000, Traffic Data Systems was acknowledged by the German Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt) as a test centre for measuring the traffic characteristics of lane markings within the context of control checks (recognition stage 1). In addition, we have been recognised as a test centre for carrying out monitoring contracts in accordance with ZTV-M since 12th June 2002 (recognition stage 2).

As a test institute, we offer the following services to industry and to the authorities:

  • Production of test reports
  • Self-monitoring of completed services in accordance with ZTV M 02
  • Checks during the application process (identification of containers, geometry checks (height on test plate without reflective beads, distribution and bedding-in of reflective beads, determination of drying time)
  • Check of completed services in a new state (after adequate settling time) and in a used state, geometry check, measurement of day visibility and night visibility (RL/RW) and adhesion (SRT), production of a certificate in accordance with Section 6.1.2.2 of ZTV M 02
